During her time in Copenhagen, Melanie taught ceramics at the International School. She has also taught at St Edwards School in Hampshire, and run sessions during corporate team-building days.
Sometimes Melanie is asked to run a course for various galleries. If there is one in the calendar, it will be added to this page.
Meanwhile Melanie has what she calls “open studio” at her home in Hampshire. This is limited to four participants in the morning, and four in the afternoons. It is not a “taught” class as such; people come with their own idea of what they want to create, and Melanie is on hand to help with the technicalities. There is a kiln on site. Examples of people’s work vary from doing a portrait bust, through garden ornaments, and delicate candle holders and simple coil or slab works. There is no limit if the student has a creative whim!

One-to-one classes are also available. They are normally run from Melanie’s studio in Hampshire.
Children’s Tea Parties
Children’s Elephant Parties can be a fun birthday treat. With a maximum of 12 children per batch, all the children get to make an elephant – and (once fired) keep it!
Someone suggested hen parties too…
Melanie will travel anywhere – within reason!
